It’s incredible that some 4 years later I can emerge with seemingly the problem.

I am using a plugin called custom permalinks and when I click on a post or category I get the 404 page.

I have tried your second suggestion – but it did not work.

Thanks Clement for the suggestion on the auto upgrade plugin. As for commentluv, I have not been able to figure that out yet. I am still looking around for the solution. Do let me know if you have found one. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your experience.This will prevent other bloggers from ending in the same predicament.You may also be interested in installing the WordPress automatic upgrade plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/) on your site.This helped me quite a great deal a few days ago.

BTW, do you have any clue now about the commentluv problem? I am facing the same problem here.I installed and activated the plugin properly but it is not working.

404 After Upgrade…

If you are getting 404 page not found error after upgrading to WordPress 2.6, then you need to read this….
