Name Proton’s First MPV

Malaysia’s first ever national multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) by PROTON is almost ready to hit the road. In conjunction with this event, PROTON is giving out a once-in-a-lifetime chance to create history, by giving a name to the MPV.

All we need to do is think of a suitable name for the MPV and submit it to PROTON. if they like your entry, you have the chance to be among the first to own the MPV.

The prizes to be won:-

1. Grand Prize:: 1 x Proton MPV
2. Consolation Prizes: 2 x Overseas trip for two worth RM15,000*

*(subject to change by PROTON)

This Contest will run from 3:00pm, 8th September 2008 to 11:59pm, 30th September 2008. It may be entered in two (2) ways:-

1. via internet by logging onto http://www.proton.com and and following the instructions to enter as listed in the promotional web pages; and/or
2. via SMS by typing P <SPACE> IC Number <Comma> Car Name <Comma> Description <Comma> Tagline and sending to 36677. The total cost of sending SMS is RM0.95 /SMS which includes the standard service provider charge of RM0.15/ SMS.

Other terms and conditions include:-

1. Contest entry submissions must be in either Bahasa Malaysia or English only.
2. Must not consist of any form of the animal kingdom, or vegetation. So Proton Cucumber is a no.
3. Must not contain any vulgarity or bad connotation, for example, “Bodoh”. So, Proton Nincompoop will get you disqualified instantly.
4. Must be commercially accepted, for example “Proton Waja”.
5. Must be easy to pronounce , for example, “Proton Waja”. So, Proton Ggy[fttt will get you nothing.
6. Must be easy to understand and recognizable by fellow Malaysians.
7. Must not be used by any other transportation Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), local or international, as of 08/09/2008.
8. Must have a maximum of three [3] syllables only. For example, “Proton Persona”. Submitted names over three[3] syllables will be automatically disqualified.
9. Each participant may submit more than one [1] entry via online or SMS, BUT each winner is entitled to one prize only.
