I Want Traffic

I love blogging but in order to blog I need a domain and a hosting service. I do not like free blogging platforms such as Blogger because I just don’t like it and it does not like me too and I am not kidding. I also need an internet connection to blog at home and all of that needs money.
So, traffic means money. More traffic means more money. People often said you need contents to get traffic and then you make money. Well, I said, that is true. But I also want to say that you need money to have a blog so that you can put in your contents. In the end, it would be a chicken and egg situation.
Before chicken and egg becomes omelet with chicken meat, and this post become irrelevant, let me go back to this post about getting traffic to your blog.
There is a new program in the blogging world and it is called Adgitize. If you are familiar with Entrecard, then this is something almost similar in the sense that it is about getting traffic to your blog. Some people said that it would be competing against Entrecard but I said it would just complement it.
There are some differences between Adgitize and Entrecard but the differences that I want to highlight are:
- You need to pay to advertise in Adgitize but you use credits to advertise in Entrecard.
- You advertise on specific blog on Entrecard but your ads will go to all blogs in the Adgitize network.
- You only get traffic while using Entrecard but you can get traffic and money while using Adgitize.
Those are the main difference that I know or want to know and if you need further details, just go to Adgitize.
Well, since this is about traffic, let me update you on my Mission Alexa. My rank has taken a little dip and this could be related to some busy time at work as well as unexplainable laziness during the weekends that caused me to be less active online. The Alexa ranking has dropped from 124,364 to 125,308 as of today.
However, the good news is in the chart below:
The ranking in Malaysia has gone up from 3,805 to 3,479! Anyway that’s the only good news as the other rankings have gone down especially the United States.
Hey, has this got something to do with the financiial crisis over there?

taukey, congrats! you are the first. Adgitize slightly different from PW since Adgitize is a Advertiser network site compared to PW, which is a Publisher Network site. So, you do not get direct money like PW when people advertise at your blog but you would earn points when people or you yourself view the ads. Slightly different concept. It is closer to Entrecard with a bit of twist about having to pay to advertise and potential earning through impressions received.

pada aku la kan, kalau nak blogging ni kan, tak perlu la ade isi serius jek sentiasa. yg santai santai pon buleh jugak. like we all la among ladies blogger. cakap jek pape. traffic gak. tak caya gi tgk red mummy. haku nih lom ler sampai tahap traffic. terefik dah kot. tak kisah la asal jgn teroris sudah. ye tak? huhuhu. eh hape susah nak ade internet kat umah. kan skarang modem celcom broandband dah murah dah. baru 4-5 ratosss kot. bulanan tak sampai 100 pon. gi beli cepat.

I tried entrecard. Got a few hits from there. But don’t really have much time to spend on entrecard.
As for those yang nak start blogging, you only need RM35 ringgit setahun for domain and RM35 sebulan untuk hosting. Sape2 yg perlukan pertolongan nak setup blog pi kat blog aku…

Truth to be told, I enrolled in Entrecard to exposed my Hot Shit Form Here to the general audience. It’s works marvelous. I am looking more than just traffic. I wanted readers from all over the world. I guess I did success in doing so. Hehe..Right now, my readers are so overwhelming until I think I will reduce this number down. I prefer to get personal with my readers. So, I end up spending lots of time in each blogs. Tak larat lah buat tiap2 hari.. hehe…

ummu, tak sebanyak ummu punya duit la…heheh… router bukan noter… so la ni guna wireless broadband dari jaring tp kalo guna yg celcom ke, maxis ke, kena beli dua bijik sebab benda tu dorang kata kena beli router baru pulak… ntah la… belum study abis2 lagi pasal nih…

I’ll wait until my contract with the current hosting to expire july next year and i will be looking for a package around RM100 per year inclusive of domain + at least 1 more additional domain + unlimited bandwidth… I don’t know where to find that… hahah. as for the ec, there are times when it dropped to 64 credits… but not sure when that would happen again… thanks bro!

Alexa is a very important benchmark to determine the rankings and traffic of sites. Google is placed at the 2nd position as per Alexa rankings and traffic rankings and is facing tough competition from Live.com and of course Yahoo.
