I have just received another payment from myLot for my posting activities in November 2008. Why do I choose mLot even though many bloggers are telling me that there are other paid-to-post sites that are paying more out there? The answer is really simple. Here are the list of why myLot is my choice:

Firstly, in myLot, you can write about almost anything for as long as you are not writing something that is against or violating the provided guidelines. Most other paid-to-post sites require that you write your article based on a certain categories or based on the assignment given to you with a certain dateline. I am no good with assignments as I write what and when I want to write.

Then, on some other sites, the amount that you can earn is pretty much fixed whereas the amount that you can earn on myLot is dependent directly on your own effort. The more your write and the better quality your writing is would be translated to your earnings.

On some sites, you would only get paid if your postings are voted by other people, If no one votes on your posting, you would not be getting anything. On myLot, it does not really matter if you your posting are read or not as the post itself is already counted to receive some earnings.

These are just some of the reasons why I choose to post on myLot and not other sites. In summary, the flexibility and the less formal environment on myLot are the main criteria that I considered.

Do you mind telling more about it?
I wouldn’t mind joining if it sounds great..
Tried to visit the site but there’s just too many things to read..
and so many text going on I don’t know where to go.. lol! ;P

sufian, don’t worry too much about your English. If you can write as per your reply that would be good enough and then you can improve from there.

cashmere, the things that you can do on myLot includes start your own discussion based on the interest that you like such as people, making money, traveling and many more. If the interest that you like is not there, you can just go ahead and add yours to the list.

The second thing that you can do is to response to the discussions that other people started. For example when you found a discussion talking about the best place to have dinner. You can add your own response to that discussion.

Then you can also upload pictures that are relevant to the discussion.

Finally, once you have an account, you can recruit others to join and if they are active, myLot would pay you 25% the amount that your referral made.

So, all of the above simple activities earn you money and once you have reached $10, myLot will automatically pay you via the PayPal account that you specified.

kwongfei, read my reply to cashmere above. As for myLot, they are genuine and have paid me twice already. Make sure you do not repeatedly violate the guidelines such as posting your referral links in your posting, posting jokes, and any other details that are specified there.

How they do determine the quality of our writing? I also don’t like to be asked on specific matter. That is why I rarely accept the invitation to be a guest writer. Malu lagi satu hal. Haha.. Karang tak bes, orang cakap ape plak. Huhu

nobody knows how myLot really calculates thee earnings but based on experience, the longer you write, the more unique English words that you write, the better the earnings…

yes cashmere. you can write anything as long as it is not mentioned against the guidelines. you will still earn even though no one responds to it.

azwan, it all depends on how your comment is. if you make a one liner comment, you might only get 1 cent per comment but if you make a comment with 5 sentences, you can get up to 5 cents… it is not fixed…

Hmm..writing paid post might lose your PR..Am I right? Unless they’re not require you to insert any external link to the advertiser so that we can write it in natural way and won’t be get slapped by Google.

myLot is not about posting into your own blog. it is a forum like site and all posting is done on that site and not yours and therefore, there is no effect on your PR at all.

the earning calculation is a secret to myLot. Nobody knows. I have been there about two months and paid twice ($10+ each time). make sure that your post is not too short so that you maximize your earnings and get people to join under you and post.

I had about less than 600 posts after the two payments. Now I have 672 posts. As for PayPal, just get a debit card from Public Bank or Tune Money and use that to verify your account.

roughly… they will stay pay you as long as you have the paypal account but the only thing is how are you going to get the money out of paypal if you do not have a credit or a debit card? why don’t you get one? debit card is easy to get…
