Facebook Live Stream is not for me
Talking about Facebook, some people have labeled it as evil or a bad thing especially with the recent unfortunate suicide case involving Alviss Kong. Opps! Sorry about the digression. I wanted to talk about the new shoutbox that I have installed on this blog. The SBox that was previously used was buggy and quite unstable. It had some good features but the problems are overwhelming… I even wrote to the developer but no response from him or her. So, I decided to throw it away…
I was quite impressed with Facebook Live Stream chatbox. Saw it being used at some blogs out there. It is one of the plugins developed by or for Facebook users to put on their sites or blogs so that any comment or shout left by visitors will not only shown on the site but also on the owner’s Facebook as well. It is also good tool for making announcements. The only problem with it is that you have to have a Facebook account to be able to leave your shout there… Not a very convenience thing to have eh? I don’t think that 100% of my visitors have Facebook account. Scrapped that idea.
After further hunting, I finally found iShoutbox. The thing that I like most about it apart from the highly customizable options is the sticky shout. I can leave shouts that will be displayed all the time on the shoutbox. Good for making announcement!
Have been running that box for a few days now and so far the results is satisfying. Hopefully, it will be around for a long time. If not, I might have to revert to one of the giants of shoutbox, such as CBox or ShoutMix… No….
Anyway, happy shouting and Facebook is not evil!
