My New Lunch Menu

Starting December 2010 I have successfully revised my lunch menu. Instead of the regular rice or noodles with chicken, beef, lamb dishes and a small or sometimes tiny portion of vegetables, I have changed to the food listed below. Reason? To reduce carbohydrate intake from rice or noodles by having rice only for dinner. Not really an effective or proven method to reduce weight but so far the result is not bad at all… My pants are suddenly getting bigger…

For the main course, I will take 2 pieces of currypuff a.k.a karipap, which is coincidently, the main dish for my karipap meeting and 2 to 3 pieces of pisang goreng or banana fritters.

For dessert, I will take either 1 piece of kuih koci a.k.a the Malaysian dumpling or 1 piece of kuih ketayap a.k.a kuih gulung. It is either one only and 1 piece only, not one plate as shown above.

The other good thing about this menu is that it is much cheaper than a regular lunch. My whole new lunch is fixed at RM 2 whereas a regular rice or noodles lunch will easily cost between Rm 5 to RM 10 depending on what you take. Apart from that, I have more time to rest during lunch time compared to the time taken to order and eat a regular lunch.

Any suggestion on how to make my new menu healthier?
