Tweet With Me

Posted on the November 28th, 2008 under Blog by

Follow me on Twitter!Today I feel like sharing about my Twitter and what do I use it with. Twitter is one of those so called micro blogging tools  and the only other similar thing out there is Plurk. I have seen Plurk with its fancy time line display stuffs but somehow I am still sticking to Twitter, which I find simpler and more straight forward. Furthermore, with the number of followers that I have right now, it would make it harder for me to move away from it.

Here are the tools or programs that I am currently using to complement my Twitter:

TwitterFox – I just need to see what are my friends and and the people I follow talk about and it would be not practical for me to log in to my Twitter account and refresh it all the time to see the latest tweet. With TwitterFox, an add-on to Firefox, this is done automatically and I have the option to reply as well as put in my own tweet. This is a must have for those who are following the tweets.

TweetLater – This is a powerful program that allows you to schedule your tweets, auto follow those who follow you and many more things. So far I only use this to auto follow those who follow me and send welcome and thank you message to my new follower.

Side Income with Subvert and Profit

subvert and profitThis is a program where you can earn easy side income on the internet. I have just received my payment in the amount of $20 but you are allowed to cash in at the minimum of $10.

Subvert and Profit runs an ever-expanding black market for votes on social media sites. They are the easiest way to make money online and the cheapest form of advertising in the web 2.0 sphere. They called themselves the crowdhackers, and they are very good at what they do.

While other “social media optimization” sites can only advise their clients on ways to design their sites for social media sites. Subvert and Profit actually gets you the votes, and for cheap!

By crowdsourcing their operation to over 10,000 anonymous Internet users, they can provide a cheap, effective form of undercover marketing.

They currently operate market for votes on Digg, iLike, Newsvine, StumbleUpon and YouTube.

Internet Explorer is Still Popular

Posted on the October 17th, 2008 under Browser by

web browserEven though more than 60% of visitors visting this blog is using Firefox, the worlwide usage share of web browsers still shows that Internet Explorer (IE) si still the top web browser in the world.

If you look at the chart on the left, IE still holds a big 72.22% usage leaving the others way behind. Why?

Technically, I would not be able to answer you as I am using Firefox as my main web browser while IE and Chrome are used only for making sure that this blog has no problem on the other two.

Personally, I would be able to give my opinion as to why IE is still very popular out there. Firstly, most people use Microsoft Windows instead of Mac or Linux. The fact that Windows is more user friendly to the common people, makes it almost the default OS for most computers.

Therefore, IE comes installed with Windows and it is ready to use with some minor settings required. Some of the computer vendors would even do it for their customers without any extra charge. All the user needs to do is click IE and they are connected to the internet.
